Camp UniStar Community Expectations
Camp UniStar seeks to be a safe and inclusive place for all. Community members should act considerately, respectfully, and safely towards others, themselves, and the environment.
Consideration: Be aware of how your actions and words might impact others.

- Consider your noise levels in and around camp.
- Limit the scent of tobacco, marijuana, and alcohol on your person or in your vicinity, and ensure no related litter is left around camp.
- Use language and behavior that are appropriate for a multigenerational audience.

Respect: Treat others, yourself, camp property, and the natural environment with respect.

- Seek affirmative consent, including for photos, social media posts, and physical contact.
- Respect others’ privacy and assigned living spaces.
- Use language and behavior that is non-discriminatory, and that welcomes, includes, and affirms diversity of gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, national origin, range of abilities, age, financial means, and ideologies.

Safety: Keep yourself and others safe.

- Follow all camp rules and guidelines.
- If applicable, safely use and secure personal medications and controlled substances, including tobacco, marijuana, and alcohol. Lock boxes are available upon request from camp staff. No one under age 21 may consume controlled recreational substances, and noone may smoke any substance in or near the cabins or any camp structure.
- If you are a parent, guardian, or sponsor, know where your charges are at all times and ensure a responsible person supervises them.
- Follow the “Rule of Three”: Underage campers should not be alone in an enclosed space with an adult or youth, except in case of family members, guardians, or designated caregivers, and all excursions off-site should include an adult and a minimum of three people.
